Abstract：As a kind of ectoparasite that parasites on the body surface of the host and sucks the blood of the host,the sheep tick fly can carry and transmit a variety of pathogenic microorganisms,including Rickettsia,Anplasma ovis,Bartonella and so on.Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is an important part of the northwest animal husbandry region.At present,Xinjiang is facing a serious situation of the infection of sheep ticks and their pathogens,but there is still a lack of targeted comprehensive reports.The paper summarizes several common pathogens carried by sheep ticks and the prevention and control of sheep ticks,in order to provide a reference for the prevention and control of sheep ticks and pathogens carried by sheep ticks.
