Pathogenic Bacteria Isolation and Identification of Dairy Cow with Mastitis in a Dairy Farm in Dalian

Abstract:In this study, 15 dairy cows with bovine mastitis were tested for pathogens. Differen-tial mediums were used to isolate Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Salmonella. Using Escherichia coli O antigen to detect the serotype. And the results showed that in 25 breast areas, 37 bacteria strains were collected. 15 of them were Escherichia coli, 13 of them were Strep-tococcus, 8 of them were Staphylococcus and 1 was Salmonella. And serotype tests showed that O51, O148, O78 and O60 were the dominant serotype in this study.
