Test Results on Dairy Cattle by Feeding Quality Forages

Abstract:In the case of adding quality forages and mixed silage respectively, at the same time, reducing concentrate in dietary accordingly, this study measures the milk yield, milk fat and milk protein, and trys to find out the reasonable proportion of quality forages. The results show that the milk yield, milk protein in the experimental group of concentrate-to-forage ratio 40:60 is significantly higher than the control group, they are increased by 7.27% and 1.59% re-spectively in the fresh forage group and increased by 20.49% and 2.61% respectively in silage group. Therefore, adding 60% roughage in cows daily dietary is the best.
