Correlation Analysis between Body Weight and Body Size of Liaoning Cashmere Goat in Horqin Pastoral Transitional Zone

Abstract：In this study, 350 3~6 years old Liaoning Cashmere goats in Baichen Jilin province were used as experimental animals, the correlation between body size and body weight was studied with the methods of path analysis, and the optimal regression equation was established. The result showed that, there was a significant positive correlation between body weight and body height, body length, chest, chest width, chest depth of Liaoning Cashmere goats in Horqin Pastoral Transi-tional Zone(P<0.01). The chest and chest width of body size had a decisive effect on body weight, the optimal regression equation of body size and body weight was: Y=0.071X2+0.712X3+0.165X4+0.081X5.
