Abstract：As the increasingly use of antibiotics, the incidence of Clostridium difficile infec-tion and disease severity on a global scale is sharply rising. Metronidazole and vancomycin is the mainstay of treatment for the disease. Domestic and overseas there have been appeared simulta-neously metronidazole and vancomycin resistant strains of Clostridium difficile,which brings dif-ficulties for the treatment of Clostridium difficile. In order to provide effective protection and vaccine development of Clostridium difficile-associated disease,we should reveal the immune mechanism of the toxin function. In this paper, two major toxin of Clostridium difficile tcdA and tcdB have been described, the pathogenic factors and the immune mechanism of comprehensive ex-pounds the principle and application of several types of the effective vaccine.
