Jing Wenying
Abstract:Streptococcus pneumoniae is one of the main pathogenic bacteria causing community-ac-quired infections in children, is a common pathogenic bacteria of respiratory tract infections, and is a main pathogenic bacteria of meningitis, bacteremia, otitis media and sinusitis. At pres-ent, antibiotics are still the effective way of treatment for pneumococcal disease. But recently, drug-resistance streptococcus pneumoniae to various antibiotics is increasing, and it has a large regional differences in different areas. Multi-drug resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae has become a global problem, this paper reviewed the drug resistance streptococcus pneumoniae and the resis-tance mechanisms to macrolide , tetracycline and quinolone antibiotic.
