Application of Plant Extracts on Antioxidation in poultry

Abstract：Plant extracts, as a safe, effective, non-residual feed additives, have been used widely and received more and more attention. The reason is that plant extracts have many benefi-cial effects on aquaculture, such as antioxidant , antibacterial and promoting growth. In the poul-try industry, poultry meat, eggs and other products during the storage are so easy to deteriorate due to oxidized, while, the plant extracts can effectively extend the storage time of poultry prod-ucts.This paper summarized the in vitro and in vivo studies of antioxidant mechanism of plant ex-tracts and its antioxidant effects on broilers and laying hens, to provide the basis for applica-tion of plant extracts on antioxidant in poultry in the future.
