Research progress of Myostatin gene in animal

Abstract：Muscle fiber as the basic unit of muscle tissue, its fromation is subject to precise control of myogenin gene on the molecular level. The MSTN gene has negative regulation on muscle growth, play a part in negative regulation for differentiation of muscle cells. This paper reviews the MSTN gene expression, biological function, mechanism of action, in the latest research prog-ress in animal and development prospect.
