Epidemiological investigation and drug susceptibility test on laying hens colibacillosis in Shenyang area

Abstract：This experimen investigated 28 laying hens breeding farms and their owners in Shenyang area, selected 150 000 samples from hens at age range between 30d to 500d, collected 50 sick chicken excrement and viscera samples for testing and analysis. Using differential medium and bac-teria biochemical isolation test tube to identify the bacteria, then tested the Ο antigen to iden-tify the E. coli. The results showed that 49 E. coli isolates were detected from the samples, de-tection rate was 98%. Identified 30 strains' serotype , identify rate was 83.33%. Drug susceptibil-ity tests results showed that all strains were sensitive to Enrofloxacin and Florfenicol, interme-diate sensitive or light sensitive to the remain drugs, resisted to penicillin, streptomycin.
