Advances in the influence of microbial fermentation bed on nursery pigs

Abstract：Raising pigs on microbial fermentation bed is a new type technology in China because this type has several virtues such as environment friendly, promoting growth of pigs, in compari-son with conventional type. Numerous studies has been highlighted in the aspect on raising fatten-ing pigs on microbial fermentation bed, however, little is known regarding raising nursery pigs. The present paper summarizes the effects of biological fermentation bed on growth performance, dis-ease resistance, meat quality of nusery pigs, as well as environmental quality of hog house, in or-der to lay foundations on application of this microbial fermentation bed technology.
