Livestock and poultry carcass composting:A review

Abstract：Composting is an environmentally sound method of carcass disposal, it has been exten-sively used for nearly 30 years., but information about domestic research and application is very few. Therefore, this study reviewed the previous works and recent advances related to car-cass composting, including principles and characteristics, structure and management, pathogenin-activation, as well as degradation evaluation, which might provide a reference for the farmers in tackle the carcass disposal issues.
