Stress effect of complex saline-alkali on several alfalfa seeds germination

Abstract：Selecting six kinds of alfalfa seeds as experimental material, different concentra-tion gradient of sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate were mixed to simulate the saline-alkali stress, meanwhile detected the germination rate and germination energy as indicators. The results showed that as the concentration of complex saline-alkali increases, the germination rate and ger-mination energy of all the tested alfalfa seeds were reduced in varying degrees. According the in-dicators analysis on germination rate and germination energy, saline-alkali tolerance ability from strong to weak were US No.343, Aohan, Longmu No.803, Zhongmu No.2, Gongnong No.1 and Longmu No. 801.
