Screening and application of antibacterial substances from plant source

Abstract：To study the properties of antibacterial substances obtained from plant source, screening raw materials tosubstitute for antibiotic. By drug sensitive test(various types of stan-dard strains of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella and mold) and Clinical chal-lenge tests on 12 common herbs for research and analysis. Conclusions: E. coli was inhibited by 12 kinds of single herb herbal crude extracts of Goldthread, Prunella, Scutellaria, Forsythia, pomegranate rind, and the effect was stronger than the other extracts. Clinical trials showed that radix scutellariae, selfheal, flos lonicerae, fructus forsythiae and tapping poison protec-tion ratio is 5%~10% higher than the control group.
