Research on Growth Characteristics of Zhuanghe Dagu Chicken during Growing Period

Abstract：In order to have knowledge about growth characteristics during growing period for Zhuanghe Dagu chicken, data of body weight was acquired at 3 different age for more than 720 hens and 100 roost-ers during growing period and the weight gain and its variation were further analyzed. The results showed that all variations of body weight and weight gain for hens and roosters except for hens at 8w age were more than 10%. The variations of hens were higher than roosters. Not only there was a differ-ence of growth between male and female, but also there was diversity in the same sex.
