Abstract:The present study was conducted to determine the effects of Xylo-oligosaccharides sup-plementation in weanling piglets diets on performance and blood-serum biochemical indicators. A to-tal of 72 crossbred piglets(Duroc × Landrace × Large white) weaned at 35 days with initial body weighted of 9.81 ± 0.41 kg were randomly divided into 4 groups, each group contained 3 replica-tions, each replication has 6 weanling piglets. The corn-soybean type diet was used as control group. The diets for these groups were added with 0.01%、0.02% and 0.04% XOS to corn-soybean diets, respectively. Preliminary feeding period is 2 d, experimental period is 28 d. At the end of the 1 d, one piglet randomly from the repeated treatment were killed and determined pH, villus height and crypt depth of the stomach, duodenum, jejunum, ileum, cecum and colon contents. Test results show that the experimental group of pig stomach and the intestine of pH were lower than that of the control group, especially low 0.02% xylose group with significant difference(P<0.05); villus height in the intestine were significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05), crypt depth is lower than the control group, but no significant difference(P>0.05)were found, the ratio of villus height to crypt depth is significantly higher than control group(P<0.05). The test re-sults show that the early weaned piglets were added in the diet of xylose, can reduce the pH of the gastrointestinal contents, improve early weaned piglets intestinal morphology, prevent the oc-currence of piglet weaning syndrome, with 0.02% low poly xylose group effect is most obvious.
