Prevalence of Peste Des Petits Ruminants and Application progress in its Vaccines

Abstract：Peste Des Petits Ruminants is an acute, potent, lethal, highly contagious disease, caused by Peste Des Petits Ruminants Virus attributable to Paramyxovirus Division,Morbillivirus. Since the first outbreak of this disease has shown a tendency to expand, it is becoming one of the major cross-border animal diseases endangering the safety of livestock production seriously. Vacci-nation is an important strategy of prevention and control of Peste Des Petits Ruminants, this pa-per introduces prevalence of Peste Des Petits Ruminants and several vaccines’ application prog-ress, and it will provide a theoretical basis for prevention and control of this disease.
