Research on digestibility of alfalfa component s in CNCPS for Liaoning Cashmere Goats

Abstract：Twenty Liaoning Cashmere Goats were used to investigate the nutritional value of al-falfa. The animals include four adult ewes, growing ewes, adult rams ,growing rams and lambs which were named groupⅠ, groupⅡ, group Ⅲ, group Ⅳ and groupⅤrespectively, fed with dry alfalfa. The nutritional value of alfalfa and the apparent digestibility of each component in CNCPS were deter-mined. The result showed that the unavailable fibre and undegradable crude protein were less and the PB1, PB2, PB3 were more, so the nutritional value of alfalfa was high. The digestibility of carbohydrates components for adult ewes and rams were all significantly (P<0.05)higher than grow-ing ewes, rams and lambs. There were no significantly difference in digestibility of nitrogen com-ponents among all Liaoning Cashmere Goats, while the digestibility figure in adult ewes and rams were higher than others.
