Investigation of Harmful Effects and Control Measures of Cenchruspauciflorus Benth. in Liaoning Province

Abstract：The harmful effects and control measures of Cenchrus pauciflorus Benth. were investigated in 75 towns of 12 counties in Liaoning province by Liaoning Grass-land Supervision Station in 2012~2013. The results showed that the grasslands of 500,000 acres in four counties of Zhang-wu, Fumeng, Yixian and Lingyuan had been in-vaded by Cenchrus pauciflorus Benth. Chemical treatment and artificial eradication are currently used control measures. Quizalofop-p-ethyl and nicosulfuron are current-ly being used herbicides and their efficacy can be at least 80% .
