Abstract：Sparganosis is a kind of important food-borne zoonosis, all kinds of frogs, snakes, birds and pigs have high infection rates, with an increasing number of people eating the animals, the number of human of infections sparganosis is ris-ing. Sparganosis has become a serious public health security. This article reviews the etiology of the disease, life history, epidemiology, clinical symptoms and patho-logical changes, diagnosis and prevention measures as well as the latest research progress of sparganosis.
