Determination of Zearalanol and Analogues in Feeds by Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry

Abstract：A method of Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem mass spectrom-etry (UPLC-MS/MS) for determination of Zearalanol and Analogues in feeds was devel-oped. The drugs was extracted with acetonitrile / water from analyte, then cleaned up with multifunction cartridges. The eluent was evaporated by nitrogen blow, dis-solved in acetonitrile / water and then assayed by UPLC-MS/MS. The limits of detec-tion were 5.0 μg/kg for Zearalanol and Analogues and the average recoveryies were 65.8%~104.6%. The real sample tests showed this method can be used for the sensi-tive and accurate determination of Zearalanol and Analogues in feeds.
