Abstract: Newcastle disease virus(NDV)is a member of the family of avian para-myxoviruses, highly tropic for mucous membranes, and very easy to infect chicken by Respiratory and Gastrointestinal tracts. The attenuated vaccines prevent virulent Newcastle disease virus infection through the portal entry by local mucosal immuni-ty, which is an important measure of Newcastle disease control and prevention. This experiment that SPF chicks were administrated by Yikeling vaccine and live Newcastle disease vaccine (LaSota Strain)respectively and measured the tear IgA level, re-vealed that the antibody level of Yikeling vaccine group was higher than that ob-tained in LaSota strain vaccine group and control group. The result indicated that Yikel-ing showed a better induction of mucosal immunity by Newcastle disease vaccination.
