Effects of Alfalfa Meal Ratio and Protein Level on production performance of Huoyan Goose
Abstract：180 Huoyan Geese（12 weeks old） were randomly assigned to 9 dietary treatments（20 Geese per treatment） in a 3 X 3 factorial arrangement. The geese in each treatment were fed for 20 days contained 10%, 20% and 30% alfalfa meal of diet each incombination with 15.83%, 14.01% and 12.74% protein. The study investigated the effect of dietary alfalfa meal ratio, protein level and the interaction on production performance of laying Huoyan Goose. The results showed the laying rate was the high- est when the ration of Alfalfa meal was 20% and protein level was 12.74%; fertilization rate was the highest when Alfalfa meal was 30% and protein level was 12.74%; egg weight was the highest when Alfalfa meal was 30% and protein level was 12.74%; and the production performance was best when Alfalfa meal was 20% and protein level was12.74%.
