Progress on the methods for detection of and study on Treponema pallidum

Abstract：The traditional methods for Treponema pallidum detection are limited due to the lack of convenience and sensitivity,which affect its application in the early diagnosis of syphilis.With the development of nucleic acid amplification technology in the etiological diagnosis of infectious diseases,this technology is more widely applied in the diagnosis of syphilis and can be used to de-tect Treponema pallidum in a variety of clinical specimens.At the same time,rabbit infectivity test still plays an important role in the identification,reproduction and isolation of Treponema palli-dum.This article provides an overview of the pathogenic detection methods of Treponema pallidum and research progress,aiming to provide reference for clinical workers and researchers in the relat-ed fields.
