Abstract:DNA methylation is a common epigenetic phenomenon that changes genetic expres-sion without altering the DNA sequence. With deepening research on DNA methylation, more and more variable positions of methylation have been identified in a variety of diseases(such as tumors, diabetes and neurological disorders).Ultraviolet(UV)radiation is an important environmental factor for skin damage and aging.DNA methylation is involved in the occurrence and development of UV radiation-related skin conditions and diseases. In this paper,we review the research pro-gress of DNA methylation in UV radiation-related skin diseases, such as solar dermatitis, actinic keratosis, skin tumor, lupus erythematosus and photoaging,in order to provide new ideas for sub-sequent research in UV radiation-related skin diseases.
