Clinical effect of botulinum toxin type A injection combined with Lux 1540 fractional laser on eye wrinkles

Abstract：Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of botulinum toxin type A injection and Lux 1540 fractional laser in the treatment of eye wrinkles.Methods: Sixty patients with wrinkles,aged from 30 to 60,were divided into three groups randomly.They were treated with botulinum toxin type A alone,Lux 1540 fractional laser alone,and the combined therapy, respectively.Photographs were taken for each patient before treatment, immediate after,at 14 days and 1,3,6 months after treatment,and the results were evaluated.Results: After one months of treatment, the texture, wrinkles, elasticity and moisture around the eyes of patients of three group were alleviated, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Those who treated with the combined therapy have better long-term effect.Conclusions: It is effective and safe to treat eye wrinkles by the combined therapy of botulinum toxin type A injection and Lux1540 fractional laser.
