Abstract:Objective:To investigate the expression and significance of TLR3, TLR9 and DC-SIGN in verruca vulgaris lesions. Methods:Immunohistochemistry streptavidin peroxidase conju-gated method was performed to detect the expression and distribution of TLR3, TLR9 and DC-SIGN in tissue specimens obtained from 30 patients verruca vulgaris lesions and 20 healthy donors. Results:The expression levels of TLR3, TLR9 and DC-SIGN in verruca vulgaris lesions were sig-nificantly higher than those in normal control tissue (χ2 =42.18,45.97,45.97,all P<0.01), and the cells expressing TLR3, TLR9 and DC-SIGN were mainly located in the basal and spinous layer in verruca vulgaris lesions.A positive correlation was found between the expression of TLR3, TLR9 and DC-SIGN in verruca vulgaris lesions(r=0.46,0.43,both P<0.05).Conclusion:The over-expression of TLR3 , TLR9 and DC-SIGN in verruca vulgaris lesion might be associated with the activation of antiviral immunity initiated by HPV.
