HIV-related Kaposi's Sarcoma:Report of Two Cases and Review of Literatures

Abstract:To report two cases of HIV-related Kaposi's Sarcoma and to review related litera-ture.The first patient was a 38-year-old African female presented with multiple purple nodules lo-calized on the back of both hands and legs for five months without obvious itch sensation .Physical examination showed several purple papule sized 1-5 mm of diameters on the back of both hands and legs .The other patient was a 46-year-old Chinese man presented with purple or purple brown papules and nodules involved both extremity and the right eyelid for one year .Physical examina-tion displayed several violaceous or puce papules and nodules sized 1-8 mm of diameters in both extremity and the right eyelid .HIV antibody test was positive in both cases .The pathological ex-amination confirmed the diagnosis of Kaposi's sarcoma .According to the clinical features , patho-logical examinations and the HIV test results , the diagnosis of HIV-related Kaposi's sarcoma was made for the two patients .
