Abstract:Objective:To investigate the correlation analysis about the levels of CD 4 +T lym-phocyte in peripheral blood and the infection status of human cytomegalovirus ( CMV) in AIDS pa-tients.Methods:300 AIDS-infected cases were collected for CD 4 +T lymphocytes and CMV DNA testing. Results:CMV DNA-positive patients were 26 in 300 of the AIDS-infected cases, and the positive rate was 8.67%.There were 18 patients having fewer than 200 cells of CD4 + cells per μL in the CMV DNA-positive cases , and it accounted for 69.23%.When CD4 cells count was under 200 cells perμL, the mixed infection rate of CMV increased noticeably .There was sig-nificant difference between below and exceed 200 perμL (礸2 =18.42, P<0.05).The CMV in-fection rate between men and women has no statically difference (χ2=0.05 , P=0.824 ) .The CMV infection rate increased as the age decrease (χ2=7.93, P =0.042).Conclusion:CMV monitoring should be strengthened under the condition , if CD4 cells count was below 200 per μL in the AIDS patients .
