The Comparison of the Serological Diagnosis Value of TP0453 Immuno-dominant Epitope Fragment and TP47 Antigens in Infection of Different Stages of Treponema Pallidum

Abstract：Objective:To compare the serological diagnosis value of Tp 0453 shortened protein ( Tp0453-s) and TP47 antigen in infection of different stages of Treponema pallidum ( Tp) .Meth-ods:Tp47 antigens were expressed and purified , and the two expression products were analyzed by SDS-PAGE and western blot .The serological diagnosis value of Tp 47 antigens and Tp0453-s anti-gens were compared by western blot .Results:The two recombinant proteins Tp 47 and Tp0453-s can specifically react with positive sera of patients with primary to tertiary stage of syphilis , and there was no cross-reactivity with negative serum .The sensitivity on latent syphilis of two antigens have statically difference(χ2=7.26,P<0.01), i.e., sensitivity of Tp0453-s was 55.6%,sensi-tivity of Tp47 was 94.4%.Conclusion:The recombinant protein Tp 0453-s and Tp47 both had good antigen activity with the serum of each stage of patients with syphilis .But TP47 presented a better sensitivity of detection than Tp 0453-s for latent syphilis diagonsis .
