Abstract:Objective:To study the relevance between pityriasis alba in children and trace ele-ments in blood .Methods:Trace elements of 208 cases of pediatric patients with pityriasis alba was detected by colorimetric method and atomic absorption spectrophotometry , and 747 health children as a control group .Results:The proportion of calcium and zinc deficiency in the pediatric patients with pityriasis alba were higher than that of the control group , and there were statistically signifi-cant differences(X2 =4.45,6.38 respectively, both P<0.05).The levels of calcium and zinc in the pediatric patients with pityriasis alba were lower than that of the control group , and there were statistically significant differences ( t=2.29 ,3.59 respectively , both P<0.05 ) , while there were no significant difference in the levels of magnesium、ferrum、copper、lead and 25 hydroxy vitamin D between two groups ( both P>0.05 ) .Conclusion:The pediatric patients with pityriasis alba have calcium and zinc deficiency .
