Abstract:Immunotherapy has made breakthrough progress in the treatment of gastric cancer and adenocarcinoma at the gastroesophageal junction, bringing new hope for patients with advanced gastric cancer. However, clinical studies have shown that the emergence of immune checkpoint inhibitor resistance significantly affects patient response rates and long-term survival benefits. Therefore,it is of great clinical significance and scientific value to delve into the molecular mechanisms of immune therapy resistance in gastric cancer and adenocarcinoma at the gastroesophageal junction. This article systematically reviews the current research progress in gastric cancer immunotherapy, focusing on the potential mechanisms of immune checkpoint inhibitor resistance, aiming to provide theoretical basis for overcoming clinical resistance issues and to guide the development of new therapeutic strategies.
