Abstract:Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease characterized by distinct molecular subtypes, which are classified based on the expression status of estrogen receptor(ER),progesterone receptor(PR),and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER-2).Among these subtypes,triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)represents the most aggressive form, whose heterogeneous nature contributes to the complexity of therapeutic strategies.Currently, effective treatment options remain limited for TNBC.Cumulative research findings indicate that the androgen receptor(AR)is implicated in the onset, progression, metastasis, and prognosis of breast cancer.Notably,AR holds significant promise as a novel biomarker and therapeutic target for improving both treatment outcomes and prognostic evaluation in TNBC.
