Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between C-reactive protein-albumin-lymphocyte index(CALLY index)and the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer. Methods A retrospective collection was conducted on 150 patients with colorectal cancer in Taiyuan Central Hospital from January 2018 to December 2019.The survival curves were plotted using the Kaplan-Meier method, and the survival differences were tested by Log-rank.The Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to analyze the factors influencing the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer. Results According to the median value of the CALLY index of 1.35,they were divided into the high CALLY group(n=75)and the low CALLY group(n=75).The 5-year mortality rates of patients in the high CALLY group and the low CALLY group were 30.7%and 52.0%respectively.The Kaplan-Meier method results showed that the 5-year survival rate of patients in the high CALLY group was significantly higher than that in the low CALLY group(P=0.001).Multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis showed that compared with the low CALLY group, the risk of death in the high CALLY group was significantly reduced(HR=0.48,95%CI:0.28-0.83,P=0.009).When the CALLY index was analyzed as a continuous variable, for each additional unit, the risk of patient death decreased by 45%(HR=0.55,95%CI:0.37-0.81,P=0.003).Restricted cubic spline analysis showed that the CALLY index was significantly negatively correlated with the risk of death(P=0.005),but the nonlinear relationship was not significant(P=0.520).Conclusion The CALLY index is an effective predictive indicator for the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.A high CALLY index is associated with a higher 5-year survival and can guide the optimization of clinical stratified treatment and follow-up strategies.
