Abstract:Vascular adhesion protein-1(VAP-1)is a unique endothelial cell adhesion molecule and aminourea-sensitive amine oxidase that plays an important role in inflammation and various diseases.Recent studies have shown that VAP-1 is closely related to the occurrence, development, and prognosis of thyroid cancer. This article summarizes the basic characteristics, physiological functions, and expression of VAP-1 in thyroid cancer tissues through literature review, and explores the mechanisms by which VAP-1 promotes the proliferation, migration, invasion, and microenvironment regulation of thyroid cancer. It also analyzes the potential of VAP-1 as a diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for thyroid cancer. The development and application prospects of VAP-1 inhibitors are discussed,as well as the future research direction and challenges,in order to provide new ideas and methods for the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer.
