Abstract:Lymphopenia is a common complication of radiotherapy for malignant tumors, and delaying the development of lymphopenia improves the prognosis of cancer patients.Radiation-induced lymphopenia(RIL)in the treatment of cervical cancer patients is increasingly receiving attention from clinicians.Although there are few studies at present, most conclusions indicate that RIL affects the prognosis of cervical cancer, especially closely related to the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors.Advanced radiotherapy techniques, pelvic dose limitations, gut microbiota regulation and other factors may be important means to improve RIL.The biological mechanism by which RIL affects prognosis may be related to the phenomenon that RIL reduces the amount of lymphocyte infiltration in the tumor microenvironment. This article summarizes relevant research, discussing the correlation between RIL and cervical cancer prognosis, the influencing factors of RIL,and the relationship between RIL and immunotherapy.
