Abstract:Lymphovascular space invasion(LVSI)generally refers to the sight of at least one cluster of tumour cells in the space formed by vascular or lymphatic endothelial cells under a light microscope. The exfoliated tumor cells enter the vasculature to form cancer thrombus, which spreads to other sites to cause tumor metastasis. The presence of LVSI indicates that cancer cells have risk factors for metastasis and spread, and there is a high probability that the tumor will metastasize in distant places.Lymphatic metastasis is the main metastatic pathway of a variety of gynecologic tumors, and lymph node status affects the prognosis and subsequent treatment decisions of patients with gynecologic tumors.LVSI is closely related to lymph node status and suggests a risk of lymph node recurrence and distant metastasis in a variety of gynecologic tumors. We reviewed the research progress on the correlation between LVSI and lymph node status in gynecologic tumors by reviewing relevant literature at home and abroad.
