Abstract:In recent years, the relationship between gut microbiota and lung cancer immunotherapy has become a hot topic in tumor immunology research.Gut microbiota significantly influences the efficacy of lung cancer immunotherapy by modulating the host immune system.Higher microbial diversity is generally associated with better treatment responses and prognosis, while microbial dysbiosis may lead to immunotherapy resistance. The bidirectional influence reflected in the gut-lung axis further reveals the close connection between gut microbiota and pulmonary immunity.Additionally, gut microbiota is also linked to immune-related adverse events(irAEs).Strategies to modulate the gut microbiota, including fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT),probiotics, gene editing, and dietary optimization, are believed to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapy. This review explores the impact of gut microbiota on the efficacy of lung cancer immunotherapy, aiming to provide valuable guidance for lung cancer patients undergoing immunotherapy.
