Abstract:Liver cancer,as a common malignant tumor, presents a significant challenge in treatment due to its high malignancy and propensity for metastasis. Therefore, investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying invasion and metastasis of liver cancer is of paramount importance. In this regard,hypoxia-inducible factor α(HIF-α)has emerged as a key regulatory factor, with its hydroxylation level found to be closely associated with the invasion and metastasis of liver cancer.Understanding the biological significance of HIF-α hydroxylation levels can provide deeper insights into its role in the development of liver cancer. This review will focus on regulatory mechanisms of HIF-α hydroxylation in invasion and metastasis of liver cancer, aiming to offer new perspectives and strategies for liver cancer treatment.
