Assessment and management of pain in gynecological malignancies

Abstract:Pain is a common clinical manifestation in patients with middle-and advanced-stage gynecological malignancies,which seriously affects their quality of life and antitumor treatment.Therefore,it is necessary for gynecological oncologists to pay attention to the pain of tumor patients,understand the causes and clinical manifestations of common gynecological malignant tumor pain,be familiar with how to reasonably evaluate patients′ pain,and provide personalized comprehensive treatment based on the evaluation result.The cause and clinical expression of pain in gynecologic malignancies have distinct features,and the treatment adheres to the primary guidelines of cancer pain management,but it also has unique characteristics.This article reviews the cause,assessment,and treatment of pain in gynecologic malignancies with the goal of providing references for the individualized and standardized management of pain in gynecological tumors.
