Abstract:Objective The incidence of biliary tract tumors is on the rise which prognosis is poor. Most of the patients were diagnosed as advanced stage, and palliative chemotherapy was the main treatment. In recent years, with the identification of some new therapeutic targets, the current situation of biliary tumor therapy has been rapidly changed.FGFR fusion and IDH1/2 mutations are present in approximately 10%-20%of patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. In addition, research on other pathways is also under way.In immunotherapy, phase Ⅰ/Ⅱ clinical studies involving checkpoint inhibitors combined with other immunomodulators or systemic chemotherapy are also in full swing. Here,we summarize the current status of advanced biliary tumor therapy and discuss in detail its clinical development and future prospects in chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
