Abstract:Immunotherapy has become an indispensable part of cancer treatment, and immune checkpoint inhibitors have claimed a major role. Immunocheckpoint refers to some inhibitory signaling pathways in the immune system, whose activation can inhib-it autoimmunity, prevent the occurrence of autoimmune diseases under physiological conditions, and facilitate the escape of tumor cells under pathological conditions. Currently, immune checkpoint inhibitors mainly include anti-cytotoxic T-lymphocyte associated protein 4, anti-programmed death-1 and anti-programmed death ligand-1 antibodies. Immune checkpoint inhibitors have benefited numerous melanoma and lung cancer patients, and breakthroughs have also been made among gastric cancer patients. This article reviews the lat-est research progress in the treatment of gastric cancer with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
