Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of F-box protein 45 (FBXO45) in colorectal cancer tissues and its clini-cal significance. Methods GEPIA database was used to analyze the expression of FBXO45 in colorectal cancer tissues and its relation-ship with prognosis. Eighty-seven pairs of colorectal cancer tissues and matched normal tissues confirmed by pathology from January 2016 to June 2018 were collected in our hospital. The FBXO45 levels in the above tissues were detected by real-time quantitative PCR. The FBXO45 expression and the clinicopathological parameters of colorectal cancer (sex, age, TNM stage, tumor size, differentiation, depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis) were analyzed. Results FBXO45 levels in colon cancer and rectal cancer tissues were higher than those in normal tissues by GEPIA database analysis ( P<0. 05). Total analysis and subgroup analysis of colorectal cancer showed that FBXO45 expression was not related to both overall survival and relapse-free survival ( P>0. 05). The FBXO45 level in colorectal cancer tissues was 2. 168±0. 857, higher than 1. 087±0. 543 in adjacent tissues (P<0. 05). The expression of FBXO45 was not related to sex and age (P>0. 05), but related to tumor size, differentiation, depth of invasion, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage (P<0. 05). Conclusion FBXO45 is highly expressed in colorectal cancer tissues and is related to the malignant degree of the tumor. FBXO45 is involved in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer. It has a certain value in the diagnosis and treatment of this type of malignant tumors.
