Abstract:Malignant pleural effusion (MPE) is caused by malignant thoracic metastasis or primary malignant pleural tumors. The molecular mechanism of MPE formation is complex, and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays an important role. Vas?cular growth factor (VEGF) is one of the targets of anti?angiogenesis effect of recombinant human endostatin (Endostar). This article reviews the recent advances in the research of MPE and the transformation and clinical research of Endor in the treatment of MPE.
