Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationship between LSP1 rs3817198 gene polymorphism and breast cancer. Methods DNA was extracted from peripheral blood of 130 breast cancer patients and 205 healthy women from June 2005 to January 2015, and the rs3817198 locus of LSP1 gene was detected. The relationship between LSP1 rs3817198 genotype and susceptibility to breast cancer was analyzed, and the influencing factors of breast cancer were analyzed by logistic regression. Results The distribution of genotypes in both groups conformed to Hardy?Weinberg?s law of genetic balance. The frequencies of C and CC+TC genotypes at LSP1 rs3817198 locus were significantly different between breast cancer group and control group (P=0. 018, P=0. 017).Carriers of C allele had a higher risk of breast cancer than those of T allele ( OR=1. 726, 95% CI=1. 456?6. 172, P=0. 003). The genotype of LSP1 rs3817198 was related to PR status in breast cancer patients. The PR negative rate of LSP1 TC/CC carriers (50. 4%) was significantly higher than that of TT carriers ( 23%). The difference was statistically significant ( P=0. 041). Conclusion The genetic polymor?phism of LSP1 rs3817198 gene can increase the risk of breast cancer in women, which is related to the high expression of PR negative. LSP1 genotype can be used as an important biomarker to detect the susceptibility of breast cancer in women.
