Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of lienal polypeptide-assisted letrozole in the treatment of elderly hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Methods A total of 66 senile patients with hormone receptor positive breast cancer who were diagnosed in our hospital from Jun. 2015 to Nov. 2017 were selected. All patients were randomly divided into observation group (n =33) and control group (n = 33) according to the random number table method. Patients in the control group were treated with letrozole, while patients in the observation group were treated with letrozole plus lienal polypeptide injection. The curative effect, T lymphocyte level, immune factor level and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The disease control rate (DCR) was84. 9% (28/33) in the observation group and 60. 6% (20/33) in the control group, with significant difference (P < 0. 05). Before treatment, there were no significantly differences in the levels of T lymphocyte and immunologic factors between the two groups (P>0. 05). After treatment, the levels of CD3+, CD4+and CD4+/CD8+in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0. 05), and those in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The level of interleukin-2 (IL-2), interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and IL-6 in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment (P <0. 05), and those in the observation group was obviously lower than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The incidence of adverse reactions was lower in both groups. Conclusion The lienal polypeptide assisted letrozole can effectively improve the clinical effects and the levels of T lymphocyte and immunologic factors on senile patients with hormone receptor positive breast cancer.
