Research advances of apatinib in the treatment of lung Cancer

Abstract：Lung cancer leads to the highest morbidity and mortality in China. Latest studies proved that anti-angiogenesis exerted a remarkable effect on the therapy of non-small cell lung cancer. Apatinib is one of the oral molecular anti-tumor drugs,which targeted on vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2, and it was approved and launched in China in 2014 for patients with advanced gastric cancer. In recent years, numerous clinical practices using apatinib for the patients with lung cancer have been reported. We reviewed the antitumor mechanism, clinical trials and safety of apatinib.
