Expression and clinical significance of LncRNA RAB11B-AS1 in gastric cancer

Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of long non-coding RNA(LncRNA) RAB11B-AS1 in gastric cancer.Methods The expression of LncRNA RAB11 B-AS1 was detected by real-time quantitative PCR(QRT-PCR) in 83 cases of gastric cancer tissues and normal gastric tissues.The relationship of LncRNA RAB11B-AS1 expression with the clinicopathological features and prognosis of the patients was analyzed.Results The expression of LncRNA RAB11 B-AS1 in gastric carcinoma tissue was 6.954± 1.080,higher than 1.061±0.090 in normal gastric tissue,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The expression of LncRNARAB 11 B-AS1 was not related to sex,age and tumor location(P＞0.05),but related to clinical stage,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis,tumor differentiation and survival status (P＜0.05).The median progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of patients with high expression of LncRNA RAB11B-AS1 was 19.0 months and 29.0 months respectively,which was lower than 32.0 months and 43.0 months of patients with low expression of LncRNA RAB 11 B-AS1 (P＜0.05).Cox multivariate regression analysis suggested that LncRNA RAB11B-AS1 expression,distant metastasis and clinical stage were independent prognostic factors of gastric cancer (P＜0.05).Conclusion LncRNA RAB11B-AS1 is involved in the regulation of gastric cancer,and can be used as a potential molecular marker for the diagnosis and prognosis of gastric cancer.
