Abstract:Recent studys have found that long non?coding RNA H19 is playing a very important role in the development and progression of tumors. It acts as the oncogene to promote proliferation and metastasis in gastric cancer, bladder cancer and other tumors, while playing as the tumor suppressor gene in hepatocellular cancer and prostate cancer. The functions of H19 are complicated and it is supposed to be a biomarker for diagnosis, prognosis and drug susceptibility of tumors. In this review, we summarize the latest progress, both domestic and foreign, on the advancements of H19 in tumor research.
