Abstract:NAD?dependent deacetylase sirtuin?6( SIRT6) is a NAD+?dependent histone deacetylase which participates in nu?merous biological activities such as genomic stability, glucose and lipid metabolism, inflammation, and so on. Recent researches show that SIRT6 is closely related to tumor cell initiation, proliferation, metabolism, etc. In this paper, the biological function of SIRT6, its potential role in tumor cell biology and its potential value in tumor diagnosis are reviewed.
