Abstract:The high mobility group protein A( HMGA) family is composed of four proteins. HMGA2 is one of the family. HM?GA2 involves in epithelial?mesenchymal transition, and plays a crucial role in maintaining the differentiation potential and the self?re?newal of neural stem cells(NSCs).HMGA2 is able to process a number of different mechanisms involved in the regulation of biological events. Overexpression of HMGA2 has been observed in a variety of malignant tumors and often correlates with poor prognosis. In this review, we summarize the latest progresses on HMGA2 in cancer.
